When you join Ruby Violet, you'll be making joyful things. Ice cream. Sorbets. Frozen celebration cakes. All churned in small batches using organic milk, free-range eggs, fresh fruit and ingredients we’ve lovingly sourced.
Your creations will be stocked in our parlour and an iconic van in King’s Cross, but our products travel across the UK - and we make every spoonful here in Bedford.

What we’re looking for
- Someone with kitchen or pastry experience - we’re only a small team, so it would be great for you to be able to get going straight away.
- You’re motivated, proactive, and not afraid to roll up your sleeves (quite literally!)
- You’ve got a sharp eye for detail and a strong understanding of food hygiene and allergens.
- You’re physically strong (there’s a bit of lifting), and can handle a busy pace without cutting corners.
Your day-to-day
- Producing ice creams, sorbets and desserts to Ruby Violet’s high standards.
- Recording batch data and staying on top of cleaning/due diligence.
- Managing stock and kitchen organisation (FIFO).
- Supporting the team with ideas, improvements, and efficient production schedules.
The package
- £25,000 – £30,000 salary, depending on experience
